Stainless Steel 317 / 317L Welded Tubes

Stainless Steel 317 / 317L Welded Tubes are tubes with molybdenum with lower carbon content quality austenitic stainless-steel that gives enhanced rust resistance over other grades stainless steel steels. The lower carbon content present in it offers protection to sensitization 317L is basically non-magnetic in the annealed condition but it becomes magnetic at the time of welding.

317L exhibits outstanding corrosion resistance in the comprehensive range of chemical substances, higher levels of contents like chromium, nickel, and molybdenum. 317/317L stainless-steel has enhanced resistance to pitting and also common corrosion. Resistance increases with the addition of molybdenum metal content. 317L is resistant against the sulfuric acid concentration approximately at a temperature of up to 120 deg F.

At temperature, under 100°F, this alloy has outstanding resistance to solutions of high concentration. However, services tests are suggested to account for the effects of particular operating situations that could have an effect on corrosion behavior.
